SCME2202: 3D Animation

Walk Cycle - March 6, 2013

I don’t really have much to say about this, it’s exactly the same exercise that we did in Essential Multimedia last year- literally exactly the same, the only differences I can see are dates being changed... =/

In any case, I will say that since I’m fairly new to Maya - the initial walk cycle being my first experience with it - I’m finding some of the quirks of the user interface to be a bit aggravating. Remembering to toggle auto-keyframe behavior caught me off-guard before I better understood what a keyframe actually was.

I also improved upon my walk cycle from the first time around by making sure the start and end poses matched up perfectly using the attribute editor (can’t believe I didn’t think to do that the first time!)
